Shelbyville NOW is an interactive community of the residents of Shelbyville and surrounding communities. Our goal is to utilize next level communications to inform the community of the REAL NEWS that affects our lives in Bedford County.  We cover relevent news and sports, special events and politics.

Shelbyville NOW was formed in December of 2013 on Facebook so the community could communicate on important topics and discuss current events.

David Thomas
David was born and raised in Shelbyville and has been a small business owner for most of his adult life.  His love for sports and current events led him to create Shelbyville NOW in December of 2013.   
His desire for a honest, conservative, approach to informing the hard working citizens of Shelbyville/Bedford County is the driving force behind Shelbyville NOW.

Bo Gill
Bo Gill, a Shelbyville, TN native, is a 20 plus year expertise to the real estate industry as a residential appraiser. Married since 2006 to Emily (Sons), with one daughter named Everleigh. Bo and his family are members of Fairhaven Baptist Church in Shelbyville.

Bo finds joy in family moments, attending his daughter's basketball games, and loves to play music on his Dobro and lap steel guitar.

Actively engaged in local government affairs, Bo has been a dedicated member of the Shelbyville Municipal Planning Commission since 2015, balancing his passion for the outdoors and interest in firearms. 

Bo enjoys many various roles with the ShelbyvilleNow. Bo is a beat writer for Shelbyville Now and focuses on providing the Jail Intake and Crime Reports received from the Bedford County Sheriff's Department. It is important to Bo to build positive relationships with various City & County Departments, that enables him to be able to provide truthful, credible information to the people of Bedford County.

Joshua Blevins
Josh covers Bedford County and Shelbyville city government for Shelbyville NOW. A dual citizen of the US and Canada, he has lived and traveled across much of North America, from Alaska to southern Mexico. He moved to Shelbyville from Nashville in 2021 to escape the growing congestion. He has worked in the printing industry for over 30 years, more than half of those as a small business owner.

Bill Anderson
Bill is a life long resident of Shelbyville and has owned and operated a small business for most of his adult life.
Bill is currently a Bedford County Commissioner and brings a special insight to local politics.   Bill has been very active in Bedford County sports and was in broadcasting for over a decade.  Bill is a very versatile Host and contributor for Shelbyville NOW and brings a degree of professionalism that is second to none.

Kenny Parker
Kenny was born and raised in Bedford County and has lived his entire life here.  Kenny has dedicated his life to our local education system as a teacher, coach, and now transportation supervisor.   Kenny started his coaching career at Shelbyville Central High School and quickly moved into the head coaching job at Cascade High School where he built a strong program that lives on to this day.   
His love for Bedford County sports is evident as he shares his insight on our weekly show "Bedford County Sports Talk LIVE".
