June 29, 2024 - Bedford County Budget Passes with No Tax Increase

At a special-called meeting of the Bedford County Commission this evening, by a vote of 15-3, the Commission approved the budget for 2024-2025. They also set the property tax rate at the same as last year. The three no votes on the budget were Commissioners Epperson, Hooker and Anderson. There was no discussion before any of the votes, two nights after a Budget Study Session that included lots of discussion.
