Tennessee Walking Horse Industry Update:

The USDA issued a press release yesterday updating the progress on the new regulations that would bring monumental change to the Tennessee Walking Horse Industry. The press release gave a definitive effective date of February 1, 2025 for the new regulations. If these regulations stand, the Tennessee Walking Horse performance division would no longer exist and the USDA would be completely in control of all future inspections.

A challenge to this new regulation by the industry is expected soon.
