August 19, 2023- Shelbyville Times Gazette Attempts to ReOpen

In a confusing turn of events the Shelbyville Times Gazette (Closed Permanently} , today announces they are re-opening to compete against the Bedford County Post who published their first edition this week.   Magic Valley Publishing located in Camden, TN  has been reported to be the new owners of the publication.   The Bedford County Post is owned by Lakeway Publishers out of Tullahoma.  Bedford County will have two news publications attempting to capture the print media market, both of which have out of town ownership.    We will continue to follow this interesting turn of events as they unfold.
